CMT TWIN: COMBINES THE BEST OF TWO WELDING TECHNOLOGIES

With CMT Twin, Fronius combines two independently functioning arc-welding processes into one single process. This makes it possible to use two Cold Metal Transfer (CMT) processes, or combine a CMT process with a GMA pulse welding process, all within one single system. The setup consists of two power sources, one welding torch and two separate contact tips. The result is an extremely stable arc that can be used to weld thin sheets at high speed with minimal spatter, deep penetration and optimised weld-seam formation.

LASERHYBRID: THE ADVANTAGES OF MIG AND LASER-BEAM WELDING COMBINED

The combination of laser and GMA welding makes it possible to exploit the advantages of each process to the full to create synergies. The high welding speed and concentrated energy of the laser can be effectively combined with the gas-metal arc in two ways: either through maximum welding speed when joining light-gauge sheets, or maximum penetration on thicker materials.

DELTASPOT: INNOVATIVE RESISTANCE SPOT WELDING OF ALUMINIUM AND STEEL

With DeltaSpot, Fronius offers an innovative resistance spot welding process for aluminium and steel. Thanks to the spooling process tape, every welding spot is welded with an unused electrode and is therefore 100% reproducible. This enables the precise, high-quality spot welding of aluminium, as well as challenging sheet-steel joints, such as those involving visually exposed spots or coated high-strength sheets.
